The film opens with an animation style reminiscent of Norman McLaren, seeming to be directly drawn onto the filmstrip. The initial image is uncomplicated: a single red line intended to resemble two legs. For roughly eight minutes, which feels like a bit too long, these legs encounter various obstacles, including a shark, a large tennis ball, and what appear to be spiders—or perhaps scarabs. Eventually, the rapid tempo simply becomes overwhelming for the piece. The appearance of the legs brought to mind the lower portion of the "Pink Panther," and the constant motion is artistically quite inventive as they move quickly, like a pipe cleaner that’s been sped up. It's certainly unlike anything else I've seen, and it's worth experiencing—though it's unlikely to stick with you for very long.
