It’s not terrible, honestly… While the humor is rather childish and the performances aren’t exactly stellar, this feels like a continuation of what the "Carry On" movies did before – though thankfully without quite as much sexist or silly double entendre. The storyline doesn't make a lot of sense, but that isn't really important because it aims to be an amusing film where traditional roles are flipped; women possess the intelligence needed to overcome the Roman soldiers attacking Celtic Britain during a time when robes and face paint weren’t just seen on fashion runways. It’s obvious they had very little money for the production, and certainly none of it went toward a good script, and you'll probably regret spending ninety minutes watching it – but some of the character names are funny, and the actors, particularly Marcia Warren and Pam Ferris, seem to be enjoying themselves in some way. It’s not good, certainly, but it is British cinema at its most low-brow.
