The film lacks any real sense of forward momentum, presenting a succession of tedious scenes depicting ordinary people engaged in unremarkable activities, while simultaneously demanding an investment that feels entirely unearned due to a conspicuous absence of justification. It’s unclear what's at risk or where the conflict lies; essentially, there isn’t much of a story to be found.
