This film is undeniably flawed when viewed through standard cinematic measures; however, there’s an intangible quality that pushes it past simple awfulness and into the realm of "so bad it's good." A story circulates suggesting they filmed without a script, or perhaps the script itself was exceptionally poor. Regardless, the narrative feels completely nonsensical and scattered, with editing choices that are jarringly abrupt. It’s difficult to categorize this movie – because on one level, it is truly terrible, yet simultaneously, it isn't. Some of the visuals are surprisingly appealing and must have required a significant investment for their time, featuring numerous elaborate and costly location shoots. It was clearly not an inexpensive production. Assigning a rating proves challenging; while objectively lacking merit, the film possesses a certain appeal and boasts some truly beautiful shots rarely seen in lesser-budgeted films.
