Robert and Judy Maitland are attempting to establish a rubber plantation in some jungle land, leading them to enlist the assistance of local people for tasks like clearing trees so that new ones can be planted. The couple, with the involvement of local commissioner Charles Irwin, attempts to persuade Johnny Sheffield’s character, “Bomba,” to join their efforts; however, he's focused on locating a panther known for attacking villagers. An attempt by "Robert" to expedite things through burning part of the forest results in disorder. Complicating matters is Lita Baron, whose presence introduces an element beyond just the fire’s heat. The narrative isn't particularly strong, and the production values—specifically the sets and the stock footage of animals—are noticeably lacking; nevertheless, Johnny Sheffield possesses a certain charm, and despite its slow start across roughly 70 minutes, it manages to be an enjoyable jungle adventure.
