I really enjoyed this cartoon featuring Daffy Duck and Porky Pig; it was a pleasant surprise to find it as an extra on my DVD of 'My Reputation,' which came in a set of Barbara Stanwyck films from TCM. The early cartoons with Daffy, before he settled into being consistently annoyed and bitter, were wonderfully bizarre, embracing absurdity and surrealism—a sensibility that aligns well with how I see the world. In this one, he goes around sticking mustaches on everything he can, whether it's signs or people’s faces. I laughed out loud throughout the entire short. The movie posters and magazine ads of famous actors like Alexis Smith, Ann Sheridan, Peter Lorre, Humphrey Bogart, and Ida Lupino are among those that get this treatment. When Porky Pig, as a police officer, finally catches him, Daffy pleads for leniency from the court. It’s funny viewing that I think anyone would appreciate.
