It’s likely that enjoyment of Office Space depends on having a particular taste in humor; going into it with an open mind is key. The film contains numerous memorable moments—for example, the scene where malfunctioning office equipment is destroyed with bats in a field—and some truly great lines. A frequently cited favorite comes from the background chatter during office scenes: "Corporate account receivables, Nina speaking, just a moment," repeated endlessly. The performances are outstanding across the board; it's hard to believe they managed to produce it for only $10 million. Ron Livingston is excellent portraying someone who has simply lost interest in their job. Jennifer Anniston portrays an offbeat waitress at a local restaurant, and his apathy seems to be influencing her as well. Gary Cole embodies the typical boss character, while Stephen Root plays a reclusive employee whose story unfolds as you watch.
