A man is going about his morning routine, reading in bed, when an irritating noise drifts down from the apartment above. He tolerates it initially, but eventually it starts to bother him—the beginning of several incidents unfolding within his busy urban setting that steadily fray his composure and stir up conflicting feelings. Things don’t go as planned for him amidst a growing atmosphere of strangeness and chaos, ultimately prompting him to consider disappearing altogether. I found the animation style appealing; it brought to mind the simply drawn villain from some of the older "Pink Panther" cartoons, and the story's unpredictable nature is quite successful in portraying this man’s deteriorating connection with reality. Is that meant to suggest a warning about humanity's potential slide into a bleak mental breakdown?
