The series begins with a recap covering events from the first season, presenting an energetic and surprisingly silly drama centered around “Turbo Granny.” This character is portrayed as part grandmother, part cat, joining four friends who are looking into a puzzle that could trigger a volcanic eruption and unleash a dangerous serpent previously contained by yearly offerings made to a group of eccentric, mud-loving older people. Simultaneously, “Momo” and “Okarun” team up to assist “Jiri,” who appears to be affected by an escalating enchantment as they explore a network of old homes hidden below ground—a place full of secrets. This release contains only three episodes, so viewers shouldn't anticipate complete answers or resolutions; however, the journey offers memorable characters and vibrant animation, with the granny providing some blunt lines of dialogue while the group encounters one problem after another. Considering it was initially intended for a theatrical showing, it’s odd that the editing isn’t more polished to create a smoother narrative flow, although thankfully there aren't any jarring cuts. The electronic soundtrack also enhances the fast-moving action and there is just enough of an independent storyline to recommend watching if you don’t intend to continue with the full season.
