It’s easy to picture being a teenage girl working in Hollywood during the eighties. Getting cast in a film aimed at children, and then experiencing something like this—it's hard to fathom. The way my character was presented felt overly suggestive, with scenes involving exposed underwear, revealing outfits, and even moments where clothing was removed to reveal bare skin. It’s difficult to describe; the whole thing is just chaotic. I did find myself laughing at times, though. Captain is excellent in his role, and the State Home for the Ugly really captures the wild, almost unbelievable nature of the film's humor. It’s genuinely shocking to consider what it might have been like to be a young woman involved in something like this. The content within this children's movie is truly astonishing. It seems likely that Epstein would have enjoyed this film.
