It's remarkable what Curry Barker achieved with such limited funds. The narrative holds your attention, the performances are good, and seeing Obsession feels refreshing when put next to other horror movies. Sadly, a single grating characteristic of one character threatens to undermine the entire experience. Consequently, while it’s certainly well-made and thoughtfully written, this irritating element will likely prevent repeated viewings, similar to how The Mist directed by Frank Darabont did.
