It’s easy to compare this film to other shark movies—like Crawl, Jaws, or Bait—but ultimately, it falls short of those more engaging films. The people in the story don't quite work and are hard to remember. While the special effects aren't bad, they aren't particularly impressive either, and the filmmaking feels uninspired. It’s a disappointing film overall, despite having good production values and looking reasonably polished; however, aesthetics alone can’t compensate for its shortcomings.
