The narrative begins with "Van Ness" (Zachary Scott) encountering his girlfriend's brother, "Nick" (Robert Beatty), who boards an aircraft for what should be a standard journey close to the Channel Islands. A crash occurs, triggering a police inquiry that reveals connections to illegal dealings, and it becomes "Van Ness’s" responsibility to charm "Alexia" (Kay Kendall) in an attempt to determine who is manipulating whom. The whole thing feels unremarkable. Scott and Kendall perform adequately despite the awkward writing, but Beatty's performance lacks energy, much like his character’s plane. Any initial feeling of danger diminishes rapidly, resulting in a fairly typical seventy-minute film from Terence Fisher that offers little excitement or substance and has a distinctly theatrical appearance.
