It's acceptable as far as older, low-budget action movies go, particularly those released straight to video in the nineteen nineties. The special effects are predictably dated, reflecting the optimism of that time regarding virtual reality technology. However, the fight sequences hold up reasonably well because Billy Blanks brings a real sense of physicality to his role. Laurie Holden is also quite appealing. It’s not an exceptional film, but it's agreeable enough for viewing when you don’t have much else planned. **2.75/5**
