John Wayne is partnered once more with Gabby Hayes in a story about Wyoming becoming part of the United States. A secret government operative called "Tipton" finds that there are significant opponents to joining the nation – particularly “Plummer” (played by Harry Woods), who’s employing any method he can to pressure the voters and sabotage the upcoming vote. The plot progresses fairly well for just under an hour, with a good deal of threats and deception involved. Hayes is excellent as the spirited newspaper editor "Carter," and Etta McDaniel also provides a pleasant performance. There's no real suspense, but it’s still entertaining to view, featuring respectable production values and ample action sequences.
