Siskel and Ebert called it the worst film they’d ever encountered, with one even saying it left them feeling down, to the point where they considered giving up watching movies altogether. That naturally made me want to see what all the fuss was about. The initial scene established a rather crude comedic tone, so I didn't anticipate much. Still, I did find myself amused on several occasions. It wasn’t laugh-out-loud funny or wildly entertaining, but it proved generally enjoyable. The more outlandish elements toward the end felt somewhat distinct from the rest of the movie, yet I believe they worked well and represent precisely the kind of film I would have welcomed seeing on television late at night twenty years back.
