The movie feels like an expanded version of the "Daily Mirror" comic strip from the 1930s, centering on a not particularly bright character named “Jane,” who consistently finds herself in predicaments that typically require a heroic intervention—often leaving her dressed revealingly for the time. The plot involves her receiving a bracelet unknowingly containing a valuable diamond, and an admirer along with his disreputable partner attempting to exploit her to sneak the jewel across borders and then make off with it. If one were inclined to find fault with this silly story, it might be that Christabel Leighton-Porter seemed too mature for the role of the somewhat dim character she was supposed to play. Peter Butterworth provides a brief amusing appearance as an inebriated man; however, beyond that, it’s simply a rather outdated and easily overlooked film intended for weekend morning viewing.
