The movie centers around a strange idea: scientist Overton (played by Mark Stevens) is attempting to create basic cryogenic technology. Experiments have been done on monkeys, but now he decides to be the next test subject, going into freezing gases for an extended period. The question arises – is this truly about scientific advancement, or does he have a darker reason? His wife, Delphi Lawrence, has died, and Insp. Prenton (Wolfgang Lukschy) suspects that his sudden cryo-sleep might be too convenient of an alibi. There's also uncertainty surrounding the connection between Overton and his colleague Dr. Wieland (Marianne Koch). As the police investigation continues, it becomes clear that Overton isn’t the only person under suspicion – so who is responsible for her death? While the cryogenic element provides some initial interest, the film itself feels underwhelming, with performances and writing failing to inject much life into what quickly turns into a dull experience. The soundtrack, relying on repetitive jazzy music, doesn't help matters either. It’s obvious that the production had financial constraints, which is noticeable in its simplicity, and by the time the movie ended I felt drained by the inconsistent accents as it devolved into an ordinary police story. It’s more like melted snow than a powerful blizzard, unfortunately.
