A significant problem with "The 3rd Guest" was how slowly it moved. The story unfolded at a leisurely pace that didn't sustain the necessary level of excitement for a thriller. Instead of keeping viewers engaged, the movie felt drawn out and allowed boredom to set in. Another area where the film disappointed was in its characters. Even though there were some good actors involved, their performances suffered because the characters themselves weren’t well-developed. I wanted to feel more connected to them emotionally and learn more about their backgrounds, which would have made a real difference to how impactful the movie felt overall. The plot twists, which are important in any thriller, also didn't work very well in "The 3rd Guest." They seemed artificial and predictable rather than surprising or shocking, which lessened the suspense. The script didn’t fully explore what could have been done with the story, leaving a sense that opportunities were missed. On the positive side, the film looked good visually. The camera work was well-done and helped create a dark atmosphere, adding to the unsettling feeling of the story. However, even that wasn't enough to overcome the overall disappointment. "The 3rd Guest" had everything it needed to be a scary and memorable thriller, but didn’t manage to achieve what it set out to do. With issues in its pacing, character development, and suspense, the film left me feeling unsatisfied. It’s unfortunate that it didn't turn out as well as it could have been, given its potential for an engaging movie experience. Considering its limited budget and possibility for improvement with a sequel, I’m rating it highly – a 9/10 – within the realm of low-budget independent films.
