Bobby Bonifacio Jr. and YuviGalamiton’s writing didn’t result in a plot that was particularly captivating or engaging. While "Bula" wasn’t entirely unwatchable, that’s really the extent of its merits. The story moved at a slow pace—an unfortunate description for this unremarkable erotic film—and there were few moments that stood out or held my attention; the characters felt underdeveloped and basic. I hadn't seen any of the actors before, but Ayanna Misola, who played Meldy, seemed to possess some acting ability and managed to carry the movie through its shortcomings, even though she didn’t have a lot to work with. I simply wasn't entertained by "Bula." It’s not something I would suggest to people who enjoy Asian films. And if you are expecting a thriller, you will likely be disappointed.
