Following a discussion with director Hassan Nazer after seeing this film, I gained some understanding of how Iranian cinema continues to produce enjoyable and plentiful movies despite facing international sanctions and internal restrictions on filmmaking. Fortunately, because it’s a delightful and captivating story that initially brought "Oliver Twist" to mind. “Yahya” (Parsa Maghami) and his companion “Leyla” (Heila Mohammadkhani) help their family by collecting plastics for sale. One day, Yahya discovers something unusual—something considerably more valuable! Along with his movie-buff employer, “Naser” (Reza Naji), they resolve to return the item and experience some adventures while trying to locate its owner and preventing others from taking it. It's a memorable and amusing drama that maintains a good pace over almost ninety minutes. The young Maghami brings an eager sense of innocence to his role, and the film as a whole successfully conveys a feeling of playful optimism and sincerity despite the difficult circumstances they face. There’s a portrayal of community spirit and integrity mixed with a touch of dishonesty that is pleasant to observe. The filmmaking and narrative progress smoothly, supported by a vibrant musical score and natural dialogue delivered effectively by everyone involved. It's an uplifting film unlike others that I would recommend seeing.
