Moscow Mission proves to be a lengthy Chinese crime action drama thriller, though it’s still enjoyable enough. Inspired by true events and taking place in 1993, the film manages to pack a considerable amount of well-done action sequences, suspense, and dramatic moments into its more than two-hour running time. It's certainly not dull, but I thought it could have benefited from being trimmed down without losing what makes it appealing. Essentially, there’s plenty of action on display; it avoids being tedious, even if the length feels a bit excessive.
