The setting is July 1969, with global attention focused on the United States, but the country stands just one step and one person away from embarrassment. The premise proved exceptionally clever, though the film's limited budget impacted its overall production value. Fortunately, they secured capable performers; Ron Perlman and Rupert Grint both delivered committed performances. The narrative centers on a CIA operative played by Kidman who is dispatched to London with the task of creating fabricated video footage of the moon landing—the Pentagon feared NASA’s mission might not succeed. However, he becomes entangled with undesirable individuals and misplaces the funds allocated for his assignment. With time running out, he must quickly devise a plan to complete his objective, leading to some amusing escapades throughout the rest of the story. This is a French production primarily filmed in England using English dialogue, though it incorporates elements of American culture. Drawing inspiration from theories surrounding the Apollo 11 mission, the film doesn’t delve deeply into the subject matter instead opting for a humorous approach. The concept itself felt fresh, but many of the jokes were familiar. Ultimately, it's an unremarkable movie directed by someone relatively obscure; however, as a lower-budget production, it is passable.
