Not every installment can reach the highest standard. It's true that there was plenty of action and the struggle for the parachute was genuinely exciting. And Bond adventures have incorporated futuristic themes in the past... but with Moonraker, I felt like it crossed a line. The film did manage to get back on track later, but it went too far for a 007 story. That’s quite an assertion because you generally anticipate some excess when you purchase a ticket to see a Bond film.
