This movie is genuinely hilarious; it might even have you in stitches. I first saw it years ago when television reception was terrible and broadcast on a local educational channel, and I found myself laughing then too. The Arthurian legend seemed ripe for this kind of comedic treatment. Nearly every moment stands out—I hesitate to name one scene because that would inevitably lead me to bring up countless others. It’s full-on slapstick humor. I never imagined finding amusement in depictions of violence, but when it's so exaggerated that it becomes absurd, like a character losing limbs and remaining convinced of their invincibility, particularly with such skillful execution, laughter is unavoidable. Some viewers dislike this film, but they strike me as people who are overly concerned with the comfort of others.
