While directing and writing remain areas where Dev Patel has room for growth, his dedication to a story with cultural depth and significant themes is certainly admirable. The film centers on a revenge plot that occasionally suffers from uneven pacing, though the action scenes are consistently intense, full of energy, and adrenaline-fueled, even if their choreography and camerawork feel somewhat haphazard at times. Patel delivers a performance that feels familiar but also manages to sidestep some typical genre conventions while clearly referencing classic films that influenced him.
