I didn’t have any desire to see this film until 'Bad Moms' came out; that movie was similar, but released earlier. The Erwin brothers directed it—they also made ‘October Baby,’ which I really enjoyed. This one felt a bit sluggish at first, but once it got going, it became pretty constant action. What seemed like the entire opening section just focused on showing how moms are dealing with stress. Then, everything shifted to feeling quite adventurous. It's essentially a story that takes place over one night, and the plot unfolded through a series of unexpected turns. The events were silly and felt very arbitrary, but I found it easy to enjoy without thinking too much about it. The movie introduces three moms who are having trouble managing their families, especially their kids. On Mother’s Day, they decide to sneak away for a relaxing dinner. However, things don't go as planned, and that's when their adventure kicks off after their car is stolen, leading them to wander around the city all night. Eventually, every story has to wrap up, and how this one does is shown later on. The actors were easily my favorite part. The storyline was fairly ordinary because it seemed like a lot of the film was made up as they went along rather than being carefully written. Some moments were humorous, although you won’t be cracking up with laughter. I felt that the ending could have been stronger; however, overall, the movie exceeded my expectations in terms of pure entertainment value. I had a good time watching it and can't promise you will too, but it’s certainly not something to dismiss out of hand. _6/10_
