I especially thought the ending worked exceptionally well. As a parent, particularly one with a teenager, you’ll likely understand what's happening. It centers on Molly, a sixteen-year-old student at a progressive school who takes up photography under the guidance of her English teacher, whom she finds herself drawn to. Given that relationships between educators and students shouldn't exist, their mutual attraction will be put to the test. The film’s strength lies in how this situation is handled. I genuinely enjoyed it. While films exploring a relationship between a teacher and student aren’t new, the sensitivity and appropriateness with which this one portrays the topic stood out. There are no well-known actors, possibly because it's a Canadian production. The narrative is uncomplicated, so the acting isn’t remarkable, but I was fond of the actress playing the lead role. This marks the director’s debut feature film, and he also penned the script. It’s an acceptable movie overall, though a truly impressive independent one.
