It’s hard to reach a satisfying resolution when the ending focuses on confirming Ethan Hunt’s continued significance and future adventures. Seriously, Tom, enough already. The visual effects aren't great; some of them are simply unacceptable. The film feels stretched out and contains numerous unnecessary scenes that contribute nothing substantial. We’re constantly reminded how skilled Ethan is compared to everyone else, through extended flashback sequences—which felt excessive given the length of the movie. There’s another bomb, another act of selflessness...and then three people sacrifice themselves via a second explosion! These are characters we haven't been introduced to and don't have any investment in, yet they meet this fate as everyone casually snips wires and disengages components. Fortunately, everyone survives! I was relieved that sequence consumed roughly 30 minutes of screen time, followed by another 30 minutes of aerial sequences. I’m not trying to reveal anything major; there are still approximately 300 more minutes for you to watch!
