This feels like another installment (possibly the last?) in the series, and while the story isn’t its strongest point—it shares problems I noticed with *Dead Reckoning*—the action sequences are exceptional, particularly those involving a submarine and an airplane. It’s hard to believe something of that caliber could have fit within the financial constraints of the production. Seeing appearances from earlier IMF team members would have been welcome. Also, one character's plot development felt somewhat unbelievable and maybe wasn't what they envisioned when creating *Dead Reckoning*. **3.75/5** I’m curious if, considering the box office performance for this film and *Dead Reckoning*, which didn’t quite reach the success of earlier movies, there might be a shift toward releasing a television series on Paramount+, with Cruise appearing occasionally, potentially fronted by Simon Pegg's Benji.
