The film adheres closely to conventions seen in many spy and action films, clearly echoing the "Mission: Impossible" style. I wouldn't consider myself a serious film buff, and I don’t usually pay attention to things like directorial choices, but the direction here was really bad. There were constant jarring cuts to images of waves, buildings, or other random elements. The ending felt disappointing, especially given how clumsily the final fight scene was staged and directed. While a few of the action sequences were enjoyable, it shifted away from being a spy story and leaned into action territory without actually satisfying what it set out to do. The initial film in the series established a certain standard that this one doesn’t meet; it's likely the weakest entry in the "Mission: Impossible" series.
