Missing builds upon the framework of Searching and manages to develop every aspect further. The movie incorporates numerous new technological elements, presented through a younger character’s viewpoint and reflecting advancements since 2018. The editing was exceptionally well-done, featuring some inventive combinations of apps during certain sequences. Although the performances aren't quite as strong as in the first film—primarily because John Cho isn't present—the cast is adequate enough to keep the story feeling plausible. For me, this movie proved considerably more captivating than its predecessor; the speed and suspense were heightened, resulting in a very focused viewing experience. I checked my phone, believing only thirty minutes had passed, when it turned out over an hour had gone by – time really flew. The film offered several surprises, some of which I anticipated while others genuinely astonished me. Near the conclusion, a particular plot development nearly lost my interest, but then it recovered and prevented it from spoiling everything. While I would have preferred a more satisfying resolution, on balance, it's a very good movie that surpasses the initial one. Score: 81% Verdict: Great
