This just wasn’t something I enjoyed, really. There was something feeling amiss with 'Missing Link'; nothing about it truly resonated with me—it needed a bit more spark. I observed the story as it played out, rather than becoming engaged with it. The storyline itself is acceptable, but somewhat uninspired. The writing felt passable, especially Link’s character quirks - although those did become tiresome over time. A lot of what I've said probably stems from the performances, which I found underwhelming. Zach Galifianakis, Hugh Jackman and Zoe Saldana are all talented performers, yet none made a strong impression; Galifianakis in particular seemed lackluster. The smaller roles weren’t particularly memorable either, even with some recognizable faces involved. Comparing it to 'Kubo and the Two Strings', which is my favorite Laika film, this now ranks as my least favorite from the studio. Still, they haven’t made a movie I actively disliked yet - that’s something positive, at least.
