Bullock’s consistently funny and engaging performance is what makes *Miss Congeniality* so appealing. Sandra Bullock’s comedic talent really shines throughout the film. The actors in smaller roles also do a great job, notably Michael Caine, William Shatner, and Heather Burns. What sets this movie apart from standard comedies that are easily forgotten is Bullock's uniquely funny and charming take on Gracie Hart, who is both awkward and lovable. Her physical humor and obvious distress with things like makeup and formal wear make nearly every scene amusing and enjoyable to watch. The story’s progression, the quirky ensemble cast, and a pleasing resolution all work together to highlight Bullock’s outstanding performance. *Miss Congeniality* is one of my wife's preferred movies, and I gladly agree to watch it with her whenever she wants.
