It’s December, and as usual, Christmas movies are everywhere on television. This isn't the first one I've watched this season, and Hallmark films are generally an easy choice. TV movie plots tend to be straightforward, so they rarely offer unexpected twists. Crafting a fresh story centered around Christmas is challenging, given how many similar films appear each year. The basic storyline often feels familiar, but what the film focuses on matters significantly. This one revolved around a decorated tree in downtown Chicago, something that brings joy to residents. A young woman named Holly, also known as Miss Christmas, is responsible for ensuring everything runs smoothly with it. With only a week remaining, Holly arrived at the location where her new tree would come from, but she encountered an issue. The family who owned the tree was conflicted about donating it due to sentimental attachments. She then had to persuade them, and how that unfolds alongside other personal events is shown throughout the rest of the movie. As someone who cares about animals and trees, I disapproved of her methods. I can’t support what seems like a harsh action, just so people can enjoy the holidays by cutting down a tree. Billions of people worldwide do this every year, which contributes to environmental damage. Aside from that, the film was fairly ordinary—a family movie geared toward women. _5/10_
