It’s hard to describe this anime; it’s a truly remarkable work that feels disorienting, strange, and deeply thoughtful. The story is straightforward on the surface, but also incredibly unusual, and its central theme becomes apparent as you progress. It seems like a heartfelt encouragement to make choices with less regret. I initially gave up after just a few minutes of watching, but now I would place it among the best films I’ve experienced.
