It's a genuinely enjoyable film that I’d happily watch again and suggest to others. This is what people are referring to as "the movie with bugs resembling humans." Original concepts are hard to come by these days, so I appreciate recognizing those that stand out. Although the performers and their performances were quite strong, the core appeal lies in the central idea, the unsettling atmosphere, and the tangible effects used for the creatures. It’s about as near as you can get to being inside a termite nest without having Rick Moranis or Hank Pym miniaturizing people. I find it refreshing to encounter stories set before disaster strikes, rather than narratives depicting a world already devastated.
