'Million Dollar Arm' doesn’t exactly break new ground, yet it moves along nicely and presents a compelling true story, resulting in an entertaining viewing experience lasting 124 minutes. Jon Hamm is well-suited for the role of JB and essentially holds the film together through his acting. Other performances are agreeable as well; Pitobash Tripathy, as Amit, particularly shines among those supporting Hamm. Bill Paxton (as Tom), Lake Bell (as Brenda), Suraj Sharma (as Rinku) and Madhur Mittal (as Dinesh) also deserve recognition. The movie’s foundation is uplifting, which is a pleasant thing to witness unfold. The musical score is good, as is the visual style. It's reassuring that they devote a significant portion of the film to scenes set in India; I was worried they might have avoided filming there, but thankfully that isn't the case – and they do a commendable job telling the story. It’s likely presented with Disney’s signature touch, but that doesn’t detract from the enjoyment. It may not be groundbreaking, but I genuinely found it to be quite enjoyable. I would suggest seeing it.
