I typically don’t gravitate toward arthouse horror, and generally find them unappealing, but ‘Midsommar’ occupies an odd space where I didn't exactly dislike it, yet I wasn't particularly drawn in. There’s no desire on my part to delve into online discussions or interpretations of its meaning, because honestly, I just don't feel connected to it. The cinematography is the one bright spot; it’s stunning and remarkably imaginative at times, though it’s not an experience I’m eager to repeat.
