Inside, away from the chill of Christmas Eve, Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto are enjoying their evening. She's playing the organ and singing, though not particularly well, he’s decorating the tree, and the dog is dozing by a crackling fire. A doorbell rings, and they discover a basket outside; what’s inside makes them instantly regret not ignoring it. It contains a cat—and then another, and still more. The situation quickly escalates to something like "101 Dalmatians," but with ten times as many animals. Hilarity turns into pandemonium as their house transforms into a chaotic playground for these mischievous felines. Mickey and Minnie must devise a way to get rid of the unexpected visitors, but the question is, how? Initially, some of the cats’ actions are amusing, even charming, as they politely dance to Minnie's piano playing. However, the humor doesn't last; soon, the film becomes rather irritating because the cats start behaving like a swarm of insects!
