'Mickey 17' was a genuinely enjoyable experience at the movies. It features an incredibly absorbing storyline, a wonderful group of performers and some truly impressive visual effects. While I, like many others, hold Bong Joon Ho’s 'Parasite' in high regard, this film personally surpasses it for me. That might just be my own taste; this one is more diverting and seems very likely to be something I’ll want to watch again, whereas that earlier movie from 2019, though excellent, hasn’t prompted a return viewing since I first saw it in 2020. That's simply my perspective, of course; opinions will naturally differ. Both are wonderful films regardless. Robert Pattinson is exceptional as the character Mickey 17, delivering a fantastic performance throughout. Naomi Ackie also shines, and she’s been consistently impressive lately; it's difficult to pick out a single standout among her strong work in 'I Wanna Dance with Somebody', 'Blink Twice', and this film. Mark Ruffalo, Toni Collette, and Steven Yeun are also excellent in their parts. The casting was superb! Anna Mouglalis lends her voice to the leader of the Creepers, who I thought looked fantastic. The effects were amazing. The entire visual and auditory presentation of this movie is top quality. I really loved it.
