This third installment of *Men in Black* turned out to be quite enjoyable. Since I don’t have a strong attachment to the earlier films—I've only watched them once, quite some time ago—I was anticipating that this one might disappoint; however, it didn't, which was nice. The conclusion has an unexpectedly heartwarming quality. Honestly, I think I like this film better than the previous two, although that could be because I’ve seen it most recently. There are a few reasons why that is probably the case, though. The special effects are noticeably improved, the time travel plot works well, and Tommy Lee Jones has less screen time; he's not an actor whose performances particularly impress me. I don’t mean to be overly critical of Jones—he’s still a good performer, certainly—but he just doesn’t make much of an impression on me. Either way, Josh Brolin is a welcome addition – the casting was excellent. Will Smith and Jemaine Clement are both reliable in their roles, and Michael Stuhlbarg might be the most memorable part of the whole thing.
