It’s a shame if this understated film gets overshadowed by bigger, louder movies when it's released. The narrative is important and authentic, elevated by two outstanding actors who manage to convey genuine emotion without seeming like they are acting. Even though the subject matter deals with difficult issues, Sylvia and Saul generate an atmosphere that is genuinely heartwarming, humorous, and believable—including a particularly romantic scene involving a bathtub that stands out this year. The film doesn’t offer easy answers; it's simply a glimpse into their lives, which will continue beyond what we see, leaving us to appreciate the present moment, just as Saul does.
