This film is incredible. I’d heard a lot beforehand concerning how exceptional 'Memento' was said to be, although I avoided having the plot revealed—though I was aware of the character taking notes, I mistakenly believed they were written on post-it notes rather than captured in photographs, for some reason! It felt very rewarding when the credits rolled; full attention is definitely required, but the film does piece things together reasonably well. I really liked the ending itself; Guy Pearce’s performance in those final scenes was superb. Actually, I hadn't seen much of his work before this, and he gives a fantastic lead performance! Joe Pantoliano and Carrie-Anne Moss are also excellent in their parts, and even Stephen Tobolowsky and Harriet Sansom Harris made an impression despite having limited screen time; it’s been ages since I last saw Harris on screen, probably since 'Desperate Housewives' when I was a teenager—that was the first TV show I ever really got into, and it’s good, don’t argue with me 😎. Anyway, getting back to it... Christopher Nolan – quite the director! I would certainly place this among my top three of his films, after 'Inception' and 'Interstellar'. It was a really satisfying movie! I am hoping for something similar in quality from his other movies like 'Insomnia' and 'The Prestige', which I know nothing about. I don’t expect Mr. Nolan to disappoint me now.
