This second film doesn't come across as a true continuation of the 2018 movie; it seems more like a vehicle for various action set pieces instead. The enormous, ancient sharks are mostly just background elements, serving as a backdrop for numerous fast-paced action scenes involving explosions, destruction, gunfire, and harpoons. People disappear in a manner reminiscent of *Jaws* or *Jurassic Park*, and there are some wild, aquatic sequences with jet skis and other devices. They’ve even included a giant squid to add excitement. Essentially, it's a jumbled combination of unoriginal ideas that don’t always mesh well together. The outcome is somewhat disorganized, lacking any clear direction for the audience regarding the narrative—or what little there is. It’s reasonably diverting, but ultimately doesn’t lead anywhere significant. Overall, it's enjoyable on a purely visual and action-oriented level. There’s plenty of activity, but not much in the way of an underlying story to tie everything together.
