The movie had promise based on its premise, but *Meet the Robinsons* comes across as messy and hurried. The initial portion of the story is tedious; things pick up somewhat after a noteworthy development. If you were to extract the key elements—the central theme, the surprising reveal, and the methods used—you’d find some worthwhile components. However, what exists around those good parts ultimately holds it back. The performances aren't particularly strong either. It was nice to see a Disney film, especially one from this time period or earlier, providing opportunities for lesser-known actors instead of relying on familiar faces. Still, the cast isn’t very memorable—at least not in my experience. Matthew Josten has a few amusing moments as Goob, but his character could have been utilized more effectively. The animation is mostly acceptable, though some scenes haven't held up well over time. The closing song by Rob Thomas is pleasant. Overall, this isn’t a film I can truthfully say I found enjoyable. A reimagining would be welcome if the production were handled better.
