I honestly didn't expect to give a film like this such a high rating, especially since I watched it on an airplane where I couldn’t hear much of anything. But I believe I just encountered the kind of sentimental yet genuinely heartfelt romance that’s often depicted in predictable sci-fi storylines. It seems plausible that there are people you can confide in about absolutely anything and feel a sense of wonder, falling for them every night, no matter how thrilling, romantic, uncomfortable, “dull,” or simply odd the date might be. I connected with this movie so much that I felt pulled in and then gently distanced, because of how powerfully love-related feelings can intensify. It can become addictive, almost unhealthy, and certainly frightening for the other person involved. Fortunately, I didn’t need a time machine to repeat moments and relive the shared affection we both desired. (Okay, so this is really more about my own life and the movie's central idea than anything technical, haha). Thank you for validating that I have discovered true love.
