The movie *Meet Cute* doesn’t work very well. I didn't really connect with it from the beginning. I will say Kaley Cuoco does an okay job; her acting isn’t particularly memorable, but she stands out in the film to me. It’s the first time I’ve seen her in a substantial part, and that's also true for Pete Davidson—though he's pretty bland, with just a couple of fleetingly good moments otherwise. On the plus side, New York City looks nice on screen, and the storyline wasn't as repetitive as I anticipated while watching it. The filmmakers did vary things enough; however, what’s shown isn’t very engaging—and that’s not helped by Cuoco and Davidson not having any real chemistry, which is definitely needed for a romantic comedy.
