This film feels reminiscent of Tetsuo and Tokyo Gore Police. There's a strong emphasis on body horror, with an enjoyable focus on tangible special effects. Though there’s immediate physical action, it develops at a deliberate pace; the narrative itself takes time to reveal itself. I found the core concept (*spoilers*) quite interesting: alien parasites repeatedly arrive on Earth, inhabiting human bodies and battling one another until their host is exhausted, then moving on to a new person. It’s presented as a romance of sorts, though distinctly unlike conventional examples of the kind. The romantic elements are pretty dark, honestly. The conclusion felt underwhelming, but generally speaking, if you appreciate Tokusatsu films and graphic practical effects, it's likely an entertaining experience. I particularly liked the parasite puppets visible within the hosts; they were really twisted and amusing.
