I was really taken by surprise at how enjoyable this film is. It’s funny because I didn't think I would like *Mean Girls* very much, but I ended up having a great time with it. The initial portion of the movie felt more impactful than what came later, and things resolved a little too neatly, even so, it seems to come from a good place and is consistently humorous in an unexpected way. Lindsay Lohan’s character feels familiar compared to other roles she had around that time; still, she delivers a strong performance. Rachel McAdams is fantastic, oddly charming despite portraying someone difficult to like. The supporting actors are all quite agreeable too, including Lizzy Caplan, Tina Fey, and Tim Meadows. I'm curious to see how the later installments fared. This one, though, is certainly entertaining.
